Anping Harbor

Anping Harbor is situated at the west coast of southern Taiwan; 12008’54 east longitude and 22058 north latitude. The average high sea level is about 0.96 meter and the average sea level is nearly 0.67 meter. The depth of harbor and the main channel is approx. -11.5 meters. At present, there are twelve operative wharfs, i.e. wharf 1, 2, 3, 4, 5A, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 22 and 23 respectively. The length of the harbor is 1,997 meters and its depth is from 7.5 meters to 11 meters. The store area of the two warehouses is about 3100 square meters; four cement troughs can store 20,000 tons of goods; the total capacity of seven petrochemical troughs is 30,500 kiloliters; the total area of ten open spaces for containers is about 52,478 square meters. There’s one customer service center in the harbor. 

The expanding engineering of Anping Harbor has been completed in April 2005. The total harbor area is now reaching 445 hectars. The total length of 32 wharfs is about 5,566 meters and the depth of channel is -11.5 meters. It is ready for anchoring vessel less than 30,000 tons. The annual total loading/unloading is approx. 16 million tons. The harbor can serve more than one function. It is hoped to become a multiple harbor of near-sea shipping for Southeast Asia, Southwest Asia, China and Hong Kong as well as a tourist spot of domestic and off-shored island. It can advance the industrial and commercial development in Tainan region.
