In an indoor space after the earthquake (safe but without electricity)

If you have ridden out the earthquake in an indoor space, please make sure that the building structure and surrounding environment are safe first!

  • Please open your nearby doors and windows to prevent you from being blocked during aftershocks. It is also important to confirm if all fire source and power supply have been turned off first. For example, check the fire source, gas, pipelines, power cable, wall and beams to ensure that they are not damaged.
  • Upon confirmation of your and your home safety, turn on the television, radio and mobile phone APP to obtain the up-to-date earthquake information!
  • If the power goes out, use your mobile phone, network, recharged battery and power bank to receive official messages or news related to the up-to-date disaster information.
  • Do not use the candles as your lighting source due to potential risks involved therein. For example, you may forget to blow out the candle when you leave the room; the candles are knocked down by your child or pet; or the flame accidently ignites nearby combustible (ex. paper and curtains) after long use and so on.
  • You can replace the candles with already prepared flashlight, LED lighting of mobile phone or the built-in LED of power ban.
